Piers Morgan and other carnivores form human barrier to stop vegans entering Greggs.
Updated: Jul 7, 2020
A nationwide protest led by Piers Morgan is underway as hundreds of carnivores take time out of their day to stop vegans from entering.
Known as the vegan resistance, Piers and others were angered by the announcement of a vegan sausage roll from Greggs.
They feel threatened by the introduction of something new which is not catered towards them despite there being no suggestion that this will interfere with Greggs’ regular sausage rolls.
One man who joined in the protest said:
“I can’t believe Greggs would bring out a vegan sausage roll. There’s just no way they should cater for both meat-eaters and vegans, Greggs is Greggs. Why do these people always have to push their opinions on people and have a food option for themselves? I fear it is only a matter of time before everywhere stops serving meat and our iron levels drop to record lows. We can’t allow these people to buy these products to perpetuate that lifestyle.”
Piers Morgan was unavailable for comment as he was distracted by a man passing with a Tottenham Hotspur shirt on.
